The HNF20-B is a high-precision industrial liquid turbine flow meter. It uses fluid kinetic energy to rotate a turbine, converting volumetric flow into a measurable electrical signal – a velocity-type meter designed for clean, low-viscosity single-phase liquids.
With fully digital signal processing, strong anti-interference performance and reliable high-accuracy measurement, it features a 4-line backlit touch display for instantaneous flow and totalisation. Available with thread, flange or hygienic clamp connections from DN4 to DN300, and outputs including pulse, 4–20 mA, RS485, HART and WirelessHART, it is widely used for liquid dosing, circulating water, filtration systems, chemical production and pump protection.

Applications: liquid dosing & filling, circulating water metering, filtration monitoring, chemical fluid transfer, pump protection & condition monitoring, food & beverage processing, pharmaceutical fluid lines, lubricant metering, water treatment, energy consumption monitoring.
Select this model when all of the following conditions are met:
The measured medium is water or a clean, low-viscosity single-phase liquid similar to water, with low solids content.
Pipe diameter is between DN4 and DN300, and thread, flange or hygienic clamp connection is available.
Flow rate falls within 0.04–1000 m³/h and high-accuracy volumetric flow measurement plus totalisation is required.
Pulse, analogue or digital communication output is needed to interface with a PLC, DCS or supervisory system.
The application demands long-term continuous operation with low maintenance for stable industrial process metering.
Special requirements such as hygienic, high-pressure or battery-powered versions can be met by dedicated variants.
Please consult us first if: the medium contains many solids or fibres, high-viscosity liquids require in-line calibration, corrosive media need special materials, temperature exceeds rated limits, or bidirectional flow measurement is needed.
Standard accuracy of ±0.5% of reading with a 1:10/20 turndown. Fully digital signal processing delivers strong noise immunity and outputs ready for direct PLC integration for stable long-term industrial operation.
Male / female thread, flange and hygienic clamp process connections cover the full DN4 to DN300 range, suiting general industrial, high-pressure and food & pharma clean-line applications.
Pulse/frequency/switch, 4–20 mA analogue, RS485, HART and WirelessHART outputs interface directly with control systems, SCADA and energy management platforms.
CE marked and designed to IEC 61508 functional safety standards, suitable for safety-related applications per IEC 61511 in critical process metering and protection duties.

Confirm 4 items before ordering:
Pipe nominal diameter and connection type – to select the correct thread, flange or clamp variant.
Medium type, viscosity and temperature – to verify material compatibility; high-viscosity liquids need wet calibration.
Normal and maximum flow rate – to ensure the operating point falls within the optimal measuring range.
Output and power supply – select pulse, analogue or communication type and supply voltage.
Install with a minimum of 10D straight pipe upstream and 5D downstream, avoiding disturbed flow from pumps, valves and elbows. Align the flow arrow with the flow direction and keep the impeller axis concentric with the pipe. After wiring, verify the zero point at no-flow, then validate readings at normal flow; confirm instantaneous flow, totaliser and output signals before putting into automatic operation.
Pulse / frequency / switch output: connects directly to PLC high-speed counters or totalisers for flow totalisation, batch filling control and high/low flow alarming.
4–20 mA analogue output: delivers a continuous flow signal to PLC, DCS or chart recorders for process regulation, data acquisition and remote transmission.
RS485 / HART communication: supports remote parameter configuration, data reading and multi-instrument networking for SCADA and energy management systems.
Battery + WirelessHART: operates without external power, ideal for outdoor, remote and unpowered pipeline locations for wireless flow monitoring.
For OEM projects, please specify connection type, output protocol, supply method and display requirements with your enquiry so we can match the optimal configuration.
