HNP10-B Mechanical Pressure Switch (Diaphragm & Piston, SPDT)

Mechanical pressure switch with diaphragm (low-pressure ranges) or piston (high-pressure ranges) measuring elements, suitable for detecting the pressure of both gas and liquid media. When the pressure reaches the set value, the moving part triggers a spring-supported microswitch — which allows plate-mounted installation — making the switch suitable for neutral gases, air, lubricants, oils, hydraulic fluids and similar media. The switch offers high repeatability (≤±3% related to the set value), a maximum pressure resistance of 250 bar, and high contact capacity with a gold-plated SPDT microswitch providing both normally open and normally closed contacts. Adjustment is made with a hexagon socket head cap screw, and the switching frequency can reach up to 100 operations per minute. Setting ranges: 6–40 bar, 10–70 bar, 20–150 bar and 40–250 bar (customizable). Switching capacity: 30 VDC 2 A / 250 VAC 3 A without a signal lamp, or 24–250 V 0.6 A with a signal lamp. Ambient temperature −20…85 ℃, medium temperature −20…80 ℃. Housing in steel; contact/seal materials include NBR; process connection in aluminium, steel or stainless steel (optional) with G1/4 internal thread or a customized thread.

HNP10-B Mechanical Pressure Switch (Diaphragm & Piston, SPDT)

HNP10-B uses diaphragm (low-pressure) or piston (high-pressure) measuring elements to detect the pressure of both gas and liquid media. When the pressure reaches the set value, the moving part triggers a spring-supported microswitch, outputting an SPDT one-open-one-closed contact signal, with the set point adjustable via a hexagon socket head cap screw. Setting ranges 6–250 bar, max withstand pressure 250 bar, repeatability ≤±3%, gold-plated SPDT microswitch (NO + NC), plate-mounted installation supported.

Diaphragm / piston sensing elements for gas and liquid switching pressure

HNP10-B uses a diaphragm (low-pressure range) or piston (high-pressure range) measuring element to sense medium pressure. Pressure drives the element to compress the spring; at the set pressure it trips the microswitch and outputs an SPDT one-open-one-closed contact signal. The trigger pressure is adjustable with a hexagon socket head cap screw, and plate-mounted installation is supported.

It suits neutral gases, air, lubricants, oils, hydraulic fluids and similar media, for pump and compressor control as well as hydraulic and pneumatic monitoring. Setting ranges: 6–40 bar, 10–70 bar, 20–150 bar and 40–250 bar (customizable).

Typical duties: civil engineering machinery, machine tools, pumps and compressors, oil drilling equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics, machinery manufacturing, neutral gas and compressed air monitoring, lubricant and oil circulation systems, plate-mounted equipment integration, hydraulic power packs, test rigs and test benches, general industrial process control.

Is HNP10-B right for your application?

Choose this model when the following apply:

  • You need a switching pressure signal for both gas and liquid media.

  • Your set point falls within 6–250 bar (diaphragm for low pressure, piston for high pressure).

  • You need an SPDT (NO + NC) contact to control pumps, compressors or alarm interlocks.

  • You need high repeatability (≤±3%) and up to 250 bar withstand pressure.

  • Media are neutral gases, air, lubricants, oils or hydraulic fluids (compatible with NBR seals).

  • You need a plate-mounted, compact steel housing.

Check with us first if: the media are strongly corrosive (confirm wetted material), pressure or temperature is outside the range, you need a continuous analog output, or you have special contact-capacity requirements.

Why a mechanical pressure switch

Gas and liquid, wide range

Diaphragm covers low pressure and piston covers high pressure, from 6–250 bar (customizable) — one switch meets pump, compressor, hydraulic and pneumatic needs.

High repeatability, high contact capacity

A gold-plated SPDT microswitch provides both normally open and normally closed contacts, with high contact capacity (250 VAC 3 A) and ≤±3% repeatability for reliable control.

Compact steel housing, plate mounting

A compact, rugged steel housing suits industrial environments and supports plate-mounted integration into panels and cabinets.

Easy adjustment, long life

The set point is adjusted on site with a hexagon socket head cap screw; mechanical working life is 1,000,000 cycles with switching up to 100 operations per minute.

Installation & Commissioning

Confirm these four items before ordering:

  1. Setting range and range version — pick diaphragm (low pressure) or piston (high pressure) by system pressure.

  2. Process connection and thread — confirm G1/4 internal thread or a customized thread matches your line.

  3. Output and contacts — confirm the SPDT NO/NC contacts match your control loop.

  4. Media and material — confirm compatibility with the NBR seals and wetted parts, and the temperature range.

Mount the process connection securely into the line and tighten the seal. Wire via the typical solenoid valve connector with reliable contact. Adjust the trigger pressure on site with the hexagon socket screw and re-check the switch point, then confirm the action logic matches the control loop before commissioning.

Outputs & System Integration

  • SPDT (NO + NC) output: wire straight into a PLC, relay or contactor for pump/compressor start-stop control and pressure alarm interlocks.

  • High contact capacity: 250 VAC 3 A / 30 VDC 2 A drives most actuators directly, with no intermediate relay needed.

  • Solenoid valve connector: fast, reliable wiring that is easy to maintain and replace.

For OEM or batch projects, please state the setting range, process connection and thread, output and contact requirements, media and temperature, and housing material so we can match the specification and give the best configuration.

FAQ

Does it switch both gas and liquid pressure?

Yes. HNP10-B uses diaphragm (low pressure) or piston (high pressure) elements and suits neutral gases, air, lubricants, oils, hydraulic fluids and similar gas and liquid media.

When should I select diaphragm versus piston sensing across the 6–250 bar ranges?

Choose diaphragm for low-pressure ranges and piston for high-pressure ranges. Common ranges are 6–40, 10–70, 20–150 and 40–250 bar, with customization available.

Can the SPDT contact control pumps or compressors at up to 100 operations per minute?

Yes. The gold-plated SPDT microswitch provides both NO and NC contacts with high capacity (250 VAC 3 A) and switches up to 100 times per minute.

Are lubricants and hydraulic fluids compatible with the NBR seals?

Yes. NBR seals suit lubricants, oils, hydraulic fluids and neutral gases, so the switch is safe for lubrication and hydraulic circuits.

How do I adjust the set point through the hex socket screw?

Turn the hexagon socket head cap screw to change the spring preload and therefore the trigger pressure; re-check the switch point after adjustment.
